You’ve probably heard the phrase, “you have to do the work”. This typically involves first taking an in-depth look at yourself, your patterns, your history and your actions. Next, and most importantly, is taking responsibility to show up in your life authentically as you, and with emotional maturity.
You may be already trying to do that. You may have done lots of self-reflection, therapy and workshops, trying to get to the crux of how to be truly happy as you. You may have even read the book by Dr. Nicole LePera, called “How to Do the Work”. All of these activities can be very helpful, however what’s missing is the structure and container to actually take you into the experience of doing the work.
For that reason, I have created an intensive mini-course that is the culmination of my 15 years of experience working as a therapist, and my own personal journey. It is called The Inner Work of YOU.
There is a saying that we teach what we most need to learn. Therapists do not pop out knowing all the answers about how to live a good life. My own personal journey of doing the work has been, like everyone else, full of peaks and valleys, struggles, messy missteps, regrets, and self-doubt. And while I know what it’s like to go into the dark basement, I have also learned how to turn on the light to get to the experience of joy, and the relief of big self-learning. I have come to believe that a grounded sense of self-love and self-worth are the ultimate resources for all of us, no matter what is going on externally. Over time, I have gathered many resources and have seen what works. Now I want to share it with you.
I have created the structure and container to take you into the experience of doing the work. There are many interconnected dimensions to actually undertaking this process. The course consists of approximately 35 hours of guided reflection journalling exercises and home assignments, interspersed with 5 hours of experiential therapy at key points along the way. The exercises guide you to investigate your life as a whole, and they include shadow work and re-visioning.
The experiential therapy sessions create a felt-sense corrective experience that anchors the learning into your nervous system and boosts your positive core beliefs about yourself. Experiential therapy is different than talk-therapy. In talk-therapy you talk about your thoughts and feelings. In experiential therapy, you are guided to process your thoughts and feelings, with the goal of creating a felt-sense shift in perspective.
If you feel ready to do the work, joy awaits you. A new foundation of self-trust and the permanent core belief that you are worthy of love, regardless of what is going on externally. To experience this freedom, you must first go to the depths of your being. There are no shortcuts.
The course will be available starting mid-September 2026. Here is a link to more information: about what the course entails: The Inner Work of YOU
