Hello and Welcome,
My approach to counselling is rooted in empowerment and a deep respect for your unique experiences. I strive to foster a welcoming and non-judgemental atmosphere where we can build trust and connection while exploring your emotions and challenges. As a South Asian immigrant woman, I hold a culturally sensitive and intersectional lens, honouring the values that shape you. I aim to meet you where you are and follow your pace with the understanding that you are the expert on your life. To complement your expertise, I draw from various therapeutic orientations to create an individualized plan catered to your needs, strengths and goals. Together, we can gain insight into your triggers and patterns to prompt more adaptive ways of feeling and coping.
Being immersed in the mental health field for the past 6 years, I have experience and comfort in supporting diverse client populations and a range of concerns. While working as a Behaviour Consultant for neuro-divergent individuals, I have witnessed the impact of behavioural change in improving overall quality of life. Alongside, I volunteer at a sexual assault centre, shaping my trauma-informed approach and emphasizing the importance of safety, security, and autonomy in the process of healing and moving forward. I hold a Master of Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC).
I believe we all have immense potential for healing and growth. It would be an honour to be a part of your journey and celebrate your progress along the way!
If you resonate with what you’ve learned about me and my approach so far, I invite you to book a free 15-minute phone or video consultation to see if we would be a good fit!
