3. Do you offer low-cost counselling or a sliding scale?

Yes, our Graduate Intern offers low-cost counselling and a sliding scale. Her rate is $50 per 50-minute session. If that is difficult for you to pay, please let us know what you can afford. We are happy to offer free counselling support as well.

4. Do you offer both In-Person sessions and Online sessions?

All of our counsellors offer Online therapy.

Sandy and Nate are currently the only counsellors offering both In-person and Online therapy.

5. Will my extended health benefits plan cover the cost of counselling?

Most extended health insurance benefits plans do cover the cost of counselling, however individual insurance coverage may vary. It is always a good idea to check with your provider in advance to see if your counselling sessions are covered prior to booking a session. Not all insurers will cover the cost of working with an Intern Counsellor, but some will. Please check with your provider in advance.

Typically these insurers cover counselling sessions with Registered Clinical Counsellors (Sandy, Khushi, Spencer, and Esther) and Registered Therapeutic Counsellors (Nate):

  • Beneva / SSQ
  • Blue Cross
  • Canada Life
  • CINUP
  • Equitable Life of Canada
  • First Canadian Health
  • Great-West Life
  • Green Shield Canada
  • Johnston Group
  • Manulife
  • Maximum Benefit
  • Medavie Blue Cross
  • Pacific Blue Cross
  • Sun Life
  • Telus Health
  • Veterans Affairs Canada

6. Do you offer Direct Billing?

If you have benefits that cover counselling, you will have to pay for your counselling sessions up front, and then submit the receipts to your benefits plan for reimbursement. Only Blue Cross and Medavie Blue Cross offer Direct Billing currently. (Note: Pacific Blue Cross does not offer direct billing, as it is a different business entity than Blue Cross).

7. Do you accept cash, credit card payments or e-transfer?

Yes, we accept all three. You may pay by cash in person, or by credit card or by e-transfer. Please send the e-transfer to info@integratecounselling.com. Typically your counsellor will collect the fee in the last few minutes of your appointment.

Note – if you are sending an e-transfer: “counselling” has 2 L’s in our email address 😊

8. What are your fees and do you offer a sliding scale?

Our fees are as follows:

  • Individual Counselling Session (50-minutes) $150
  • Low-cost Individual Counselling Session with our Graduate Intern, Liz (50-minutes) $50
  • Individual Extended Counselling Session (75-minutes) $225
  • Couples Counselling Session (50-minutes) $175
  • Couples Extended Counselling Session (75-minutes) $225
  • Family Therapy Session (50-minutes) $195
  • Family Therapy Session (75-minutes) $250

If you are seeking a sliding scale session, please ask your counsellor in advance if they offer that option. We do not typically offer a sliding scale, except with our Intern Counsellor, Liz.

9. What is your Cancellation Policy?

We kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a fee equal to the full session rate.

If you’re unable to cancel within the 24-hour window, please call 778-719-6671 or email info@integratecounselling.com as soon as possible to discuss your options. We will try to rebook you as soon as possible.

 10. Are my counselling sessions completely confidential?

All counselling interactions are confidential, including the free 15-minute consultation. Your information will be held in confidence and can only be released with your written permission. However, there are exceptions to this, which include:

  • Files subpoenaed by a court of law
